Picture Time!

I'm going to post mostly pictures this time. The picture above is Tanner at a park. He is such a stud.
The kids all in their pjs. They are so nice!

I took Amy's (my sister) family pictures last night. Her kids are so stinkin' cute.
Aubree is growing up too fast. She is so sweet!

Travis is all over the place and is constantly smiling.

I love how Trav has his hand on Tanner's leg. They are within a couple pounds of each other now.

10 months!

I can't believe Trav is 10 months old today. The last 10 months have gone by soooo fast, but then again, in some ways they have seemed to last forever (if you know what I mean). Some days, I wish Trav would just stay a snuggly, pudgy baby for the rest of his life - I love this age. He is such a funny, sweet boy. He crawls all over and stands up on anything that will support his weight. He follows us up the stairs and says "mama" and "dada". He has recently learned to wave and clap; we can already see his sense of humor peeking through, as he copies what we do (ie: cough, nod our head, say ahhhh). His 23 pounds of girth makes my arm ache and throb, but I can't complain, because he is always happy and smiling. He just started acting really shy around other people. If people look at him and smile or say hi, he will smile and lower his head into his chest or bury his head into my shoulder. It is so cute! Aubs and Tan completely adore him. Tanner crawls around with Trav, and Aubree is always helping with Trav and wanting to hold him. It is so awesome to have these kids so close together. They are such good friends, and we are excited to see that love and friendship grow.

EDIT- So I thought today was the 8th. Pretend I posted this on Wednesday 10/8/08 :)

September 28, 2002

The night was September 28, 2002. The place was a Young Single Adult Dance in Moses Lake. The dance encompassed half of the small gym floor. There around 20 people dancing to music coming from a boom box that what hooked up to some speakers. A slow song began, and she looked over and saw this young man, time seemed to stand still. Everything was blurry, but his face was in perfect focus. He came over and asked for a dance. She readily accepted. They danced, talked, and departed, to awkwardly bounce around for the upbeat song that followed. During the next few songs they both wanted to ask the other for another dance, but neither could bring themselves to be that forward. Finally, just a couple songs before the end of the dance, she decided that she had nothing to lose, and she shyly approached him and asked for another dance. The song was too short, and the conversation was too good - they felt riveted to the spot and danced another song. It was good that they did, because during this last song, he mustered up the courage to do something that he had never done before - he asked for her phone number. She willingly and excitedly gave it to him, and they visited for a few minutes before saying their goodbyes. That night, his friends teased him for being so smitten by the girl that he had connected with, and she returned home to write about him in her journal and think of him as she drifted to sleep. Somehow, they knew that there was something special about their new acquaintance, and they were both excited about the new friend that had been made. In the back of their minds, they both anxiously thought and hoped that the person whom they had met might become more than just a friend.

They fell in love and their dreams came true!

Brothers

So about a week ago, Tanner woke up in the morning and somehow got his arm out of the neck hole of his pj's. Eric and I thought it
was so funny, so we got a few pictures and let him hang out like that for a little bit. We wished we could've seen him work to get his arm out. Anyways, Tanner has been a little tall for these pj's, so I decided that Trav could start wearing them. So, last night I put the exact same pajamas on Travis and we couldn't believe how he woke up... Same arm even. There must be something about that sleeve that they don't want their arm in it. I love our boys!

It has been a long week with all of the kids having pink eye and ear infections. They are all on antibiotics and now seem to be getting better.

Fun Summer!

I can't believe that it is almost the end of August. The summer has gone by way too fast. We are still in Wenatchee and will be headed home in the next month. We have had lots of fun. I found this bike stroller at a garage sale for $2. The kids fit into it pretty snuggly. They love going on walks together.
Aubree felt left out and wanted to sit with her brother's while they ate.

Aubree loves spending time with Eric's cousins, Claira and Heath. Claira brought over her face paints and Aubree couldn't get enough of it. I think she got her face painted at least five times.
Aubree loves helping Eric's family weed their garden. She was super sweaty and was playing in some dirt. Aubs finally figured out how to get her fingers to sign "i love you."
Trav in his own little pool.
Amy's (my sister) daughter Claire had her birthday party and we made her a pig cake.
Eric and I celebrated our birthday's on Saturday and Sunday and Eric's mom made us each our own dessert. Trav was asleep both times we sang.

Aubree finished her swimming lessons this week. Aubs and Tanner love being in the water. AND, Aubree is officially potty trained. It is so nice to have one less kid to change!

08/08/08 - 8 MONTHS

I knew Trav was a special boy, but I didn't realize till a few days ago that he turns 8 months old on 08-08-08 :) Kind of crazy. Travis is such a sweet boy. He weighs 21 pounds and getting everywhere he wants with an army crawl. I didn't want a mobile baby for a while! Trav is such a happy boy and smiles at anyone who will look at him and smile. He is starting to pull himself up on stuff and tried conversing with us all of the time. A couple days ago, only Aubree and Tanner were awake. I asked Aubree to give Tanner a hug so I could take a picture and she said she only hugs Travis. We are so grateful to have Travis in our family. Today also marks the start of the Olympics. I am so excited to watch them. Eric has a teammate from WSU who is competing there.

Tanner is such a funny boy. He loved wearing my sister's headband all of the time.

Trav and Jackie's (my sister) daughter, Adalee. She is two months older than Trav, but he outweighs her by 5 pounds.

Aubree with her first fish. Tanner and Aubree both caught fish, but Tanner didn't want to take a picture.

My sister Sara, Tanner, and Leah (my sister Amy's oldest)

Trav and Taylor (Amy's youngest)

My brother, Jon and Trav with his orange.
All the kids trying to help clean the fish.
Handsome Travis!

We have the sweetest kids! Tanner and Aubree are starting to really be able to play together and it is getting so fun. These kids are going to be such good buddies.
Tanner loves dirt.

Trav getting ready to crawl. I love his smile.
Tanner is such a cute boy. He has been putting his bowls, when he's done with them, on his head.

Tan with another headband. He is so handsome!
