Travis Eric Nygard

Sorry it has taken me a little while to get anything out and let everyone know what is going on. Today is my due date and I'm so glad I already had Travis. I plan on putting a lot of pictures up and some video up too with more information once life slows down a little bit. Eric just finished finals yesterday and I've been trying to figure out the whole breast feeding thing.
Travis Eric Nygard was born Saturday, December 8th and 10:49pm. He weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 20 inches long. He has brown wavy hair just like Aubs and Tan did :). My water broke while I was shopping at Wal-Mart, but I thought his head had dropped and made me pee my pants. I didn't go into the hospital till almost 3pm on Saturday. I really didn't think it could've been my water since my mom and sisters all had to have their water broken at the hospital. I was at a 4 when I got to the hospital. They had me walk for an hour and then they admitted me and hooked me up to an IV with Pitocin. The Dr. said I could have the epidural whenever I wanted, so I got it at 6cm. Labor wasn't too bad for me. Anyways, I progressed to a 10 in a couple hours. That part wasn't that fun and I couldn't even feel most of it. I took me a little less that 30 minutes to push. Travis kept grunting for the first few hours but he is totally healthy. Aubree and Tanner met Travis after church the next day. Aubree was so cute with him and Tanner just looked at him, said baby, and then wanted to get down and get into things. The nurse gave them apple juice and a cupcake to celebrate. We are doing good. We love and appreciate all our friends and family.

Congratulations Jenny! I'm glad that all went well and you have a cute family of five now! I just found your comment about my mom and I just wanted to tell you that she does have a pretty good prognosis, believe it or not! She has a rare localized form of ovarian cancer so they were able to do chemo and radiation this time around. We'll find out in about a month after all the follow-up tests if the treatments were effective. We're all optimistic!

We are very excited for your new addition! For some reason I think it is humorous that your water broke at Wal-Mart! :) Good luck sleeping! I'm sure having Eric on break from school is HUGE!!!

Jenny-
Congrats!! He is so cute! I loved the pic you sent out in your email of just him, how adorable! And I love the fact that your water broke at Wal-Mart, it made me laugh. Mine was always boring and had to be broke. And good luck with the whole breastfeeding thing, it takes a while but will be worth it! Enjoy having Eric home!
